Keyvius Sampson will toe the slab for Cinci, and the 25 year old makes his first start of the season. He's been roughed up during his time working out of the bullpen, sporting an ERA of 5.51 in just over 16 innings of work.

Arizona will hand the ball to Robbie Ray, who has pitched far better than his record would indicate. Ray (5-8, 4.49 ERA) surrendered just four hits while tossing seven scoreless innings in a win over the Dodgers his last time out. He's been racking up the Ks at a steady pace, with a solid 44 strikeouts in his last six starts.

The Reds have lost six straight when Sampson starts, and five of six when he starts at home.
