Rogers' NHL SURE SHOT ($20) >> 2-0 Monday! 23-13 Past 7 Days!
(NHL) Calgary vs. Chicago, 11/01/2016 4:30 PM, Score: 1 - 5
Money Line: -160.00 Chicago (Home)
Result: Win
The set-up: The Calgary Flames take their 4-5-1 record to Chicago on Tuesday night to take on the 5-3-1 Blackhawks. However, most Chicago sports fans are more likely to have their main focus on the city of Cleveland, where the Cubs will be trying to stay alive in the 2016 World Series. These teams just met last week also in Chicago, with the Flames earning a 3-2 win in a shootout.

Calgary: Kris Versteeg scored the tiebreaking goal in the seventh round of the shootout last week, which quickly silenced Chicago fans. The Flames have won three of their past four contests and are 2-1-1 on the road to start the season. This contest kicks off a four-game road trip for the Flames that also includes visits to the San Jose Sharks, Los Angeles Kings and Anaheim Ducks. Calgary goaltender Brian Elliott started the first game against Chicago, stopping 31 of 33 shots, then denied seven shootout opportunities to earn his first victory of the season. He's expected to be in net again tonight (3-4-0, 2.99 GAA & .898 save percentage).

Chicago: Corey Crawford looked good with 32 saves for his 20th career shutout this past Sunday (3-0 over the Kings) and will be in net for another meeting with the Flames. The Blackhawks are playing with more confidence and better effectiveness than they had in the teams' first meeting on October 24, having won back-to-back games, since.

The pick: Crawford turned aside 29 of 31 shots in his first outing against the Flames and coach Joel Quenneville indicated that Crawford would be in net again Tuesday. He's a modest 3-3-1 on the season (2.44 GAA & .919 save percentage) but I like Chicago's chances for some revenge in this fairly quick rematch. The Blackhawks are 4-1-1 at the United Center this season and earn an 8* rating in this one.
