Rogers' *10* SURE SHOT >> 5-1 in NHL This Month!
(NHL) Pittsburgh vs. San Jose, 11/05/2016 6:30 PM, Score: 5 - 0
Money Line: -127.00 San Jose (Home)
Result: Loss
The set-up The 6-5-0 San Jose Sharks host the 7-2-2 Pittsburgh Penguins, in a rematch of last year's Stanley Cup Finals. The Pens won last year's Stanley Cup in a six-game series with the clincher coming at SAP Center in San Jose. These teams met earlier this year in Pittsburgh back on Oct. 20 at the newly re-named PPG Paints Arena. San Jose squandered a two-goal lead heading into the third period in that one, losing 3-2

Pittsburgh: The Penguins have barely missed a beat after winning the Stanley Cup, despite Sidney Crosby being unavailable for the first six games as he recovered from a concussion. Pittsburgh is 5-1-1 in its last seven games and could wrap up this four-game road trip with six or seven out of a possible eight points. Crosby has shown no ill effects from being concussed. In five games since returning to the ice, he's registered at least one point per contest, totaling six goals and two assists. Crosby had his second multi-goal game of the season in Pittsburgh's 3-2 overtime loss to the Los Angeles Kings on Thursday.

San Jose: The Sharks held opponents to a total of just three goals while winning three straight in a five-day span but have stumbled this week with a 3-2 loss to the Arizona Coyotes on Tuesday before returning home and falling to the Calgary Flames by the same score on Thursday. Sharks head coach Pete DeBoer told reporters, "This is a league where if you don't play desperate for 60 minutes, you're really limiting your opportunities to win, and I think that's where we're at right now,"

The pick: These teams meet for the final time in the regular season tonight and while DeBoer is concerned that the focus exhibited by his team might not always be where it should, a game against the Penguins should grab the Sharks' attention! Crosby has scored only one goal in 10 regular-season games against San Jose and San Jose goaltender Martin Jones has thrived at home so far. He's 4-1-0 with a 1.40 GAA and .940 save percentage at SAP Center plus the Sharks enter this game having killed off 17 straight penalties over their last six games. A hot goaltender and a recent strong effort by the team's penalty-killing unit make the Sharks a 10* play.
