Rogers' Game of the Week (10* NFL) >>> Oakland Last Week!
(NFL) Indianapolis vs. Green Bay, 11/06/2016 11:25 AM, Score: 31 - 26
Point Spread: -7.00 | -115.00 Green Bay (Home)
Result: Loss
The set-up: Two the NFL's best QBs square off Sunday, as Andrew Luck (63.7%, 260.9 YPG, 16-5 ratio & 96.2 QB rating) leads the 3-5 Colts into Lambeau Field to face Aaron Rodgers (64.0%, 237.0 YPG, 17-4 ratio & 96.4 QB rating) and the 4-3 Packers. The Colts can hardly afford another loss, as the 5-3 Texans own a two-game lead over them in the AFC South, a division which almost assuredly will not feature a wild card entrant this season (Houston has a bye in Week 9). Green Bay is just 4-3, after losing two of its last three but the Packers have been helped by Minnesota's sudden demise (two straight losses after a 5-0 start).

Indianapolis: Luck has topped 300 yards four times this season and will be attacking a Packers secondary riddled with questions (injuries). However, Green Bay's defense is allowing just 321.6 YPG overall (7th) and 22.3 PPG (15th). The Colts have struggled to protect their franchise QB all season, as he's been sacked a league-high 31 times. The running game averages a modest 99.6 YPG (22nd) and the defense has allowed 28.8 PPG (27th), not to mention 287.8 YPG through the air (30th).

Green Bay: Rodgers has a great TD-to-INT ratio (17-4) but it's strange to see Green bay with just 237.0 YPG passing, ranking 22nd. Green Bay hasn't fared much better running the ball than the Colts, averaging 105.3 YPG (19th). The team is also getting thin at running back as Rodgers (60 yards on six carries) led the team in rushing last week. Jordy Nelson has lost a step but the Packers have excellent depth at wide receiver.

The pick: With neither team owning much of a running game but with two Hall of Fame QBs up against weak secondaries, a high scoring game is expected. Rodgers had an unproductive start to the season, bottoming out with a sub-par performance in a home loss to Dallas on Oct. 16. However, he threw three TD passes without an interception in a win over Chicago four days later and then had four TDs without a pick in a 33-32 loss at Atlanta last week. He ranks third in QB rating, second in completions and first in TD passes the past two weeks. The Indy defense Colts defense just has not made enough plays defensively, allowing a 66.8 percent completion rate with 14 TDs vs. two interceptions. Green Bay is a 10* play.
