The Mississippi State Bulldogs will take on the North Carolina State Wolfpack in the Belk Bowl on December 30th, and I expect the Bulldogs to run away with this one. They were 8-4 during the season, with all four losses coming against teams ranked #14 or higher. The Wolfpack just don't have the firepower to keep up with an SEC powerhouse like Mississippi State.
Here are my keys to the game:
1. Dak Prescott - The Bulldogs quarterback threw for 3,416 yards and 25 TDs, and ran for another 541 yards and 10 scores this season. He gained a total of 881 yards and 10 TDs (passing & rushing) in his last two games against Arkansas and Ole Miss.
2. Wolfpack Defense - North Carolina State lost it's final game of the season by a score of 45-34, and they surrendered a whopping 374 rushing yards in that defeat.
3. X-Factor - The Wolfpack faced three Top 25 teams this year, losing all three of those games by double-digits.
