Both the Detroit Pistons and the New York Knicks will be looking to rebound from a loss to the Celtics when the teams tip off at Madison Square Garden Tuesday night. The Knicks will be desperate to end a four-game slide, and my money is on the home-team.
Here are my keys to the game:
1. Carmelo Anthony - The 31 year old small forward has recorded back-to-back double-doubles and is averaging 24.3 points in his last four games. Detroit has won four of the last five in the series, but Anthony has missed each of the last three meetings. Expect him to be up for it tonight.
2. Road Woes - Detroit has covered the spread in only four of its last 13 on the road overall and its 5-18 ATS in the last 23 head-to-head meetings at MSG.
3. X-Factor - New York leads the league in free throw percentage with 81.1. Detroit on the other hand has the worst free throw percentage in the league with just 65.5.
