The Pittsburgh Penguins had recorded back-to-back wins before getting shut out in a 1-0 defeat at Winnipeg Sunday. This looks like a good spot for them to get back on track though as they host the Toronto Maple Leafs home at Consol Energy Center.
Here are my keys to the game:
1. Situational - The Leafs lost 6-3 against the Islanders last night as Jonathan Bernier made just 15 saves before being replaced by James Reimer to start the third period. The Leafs are 2-8 in their last 10 games following a loss of three or more goals and they've lost seven straight meetings with the Pens.
2. Evgeni Malkin - While Pittsburgh is only 9-7-2 at home this season, playing in front of the home-town crowd usually brings out the best of Malkin who has scored 11 goals through his last 10 home games. He scored one of the goals as the Pens defeated the Leafs 2-1 here at Consol Energy Center back in October.
3. X-Factor - Pittsburgh is 4-for-11 on the man advantage over its last four games.
