The Vancouver Canucks will host Pacific Division rivals the Arizona Coyotes Monday night. The Coyotes opened a three-game Western Canadian trek with a 4-3 shootout loss at Edmonton Saturday, and odds are they'll come up short here at Rogers Arena as well.
Here are my keys to the game:
1. Road Woes - The Coyotes are 2-8-1 on the road since a win at Los Angeles on Nov. 10. The Nucks have won four of their last five in front of the home-town crowd and 20 of the last 27 when hosting the Coyotes.
2. Jacob Markstrom - The Vancouver back-up netminder has really stepped up since Ryan Miller went down with a groin injury. Markstrom is 3-1-0 with a 1.93 GAA in his last four starts and he stopped 26 shots in a 3-1 win at Arizona on March 22 last year in his only previous meeting with the Yotes.
3. X-Factor - The Canucks are a perfect 5-0 in their last five home games against a team with a losing road record.
