The Arizona Coyotes are surprisingly enough second in the Pacific Division, two points ahead of the Calgary Flames in fourth place. The Flames have been literally on fire over the last month though and I like the home-team to prevail at the Saddledome tonight.
Here are my keys to the game:
1. Home Cookin' - Calgary is 13-3 over its last 16 home at the Saddledome and it has won eight straight when hosting the Coyotes.
2. Special Teams - The Coyotes have eight power-play goals in their last six games, but the Flames are playing extremely smart hockey at the moment. They've given opponents only a total of seven power play opportunities over their last six games resulting in one goal. The Coyotes on the other hand have surrendered eight goals on 22 shorthanded situations on their last six contests.
3. X-Factor - The Flames' netminder Karri Ramo is 9-4-0 with a 2.00 GAA in his last 13 games and he's 4-0-1 with a 1.38 GAA in five career starts against the Coyotes.
