The San Antonio Spurs defeated the hapless Nets by 27 points last night to make it eight consecutive wins. I like the Detroit Pistons to give them a fair fight tonight though and would not be surprised to see the home-team spring an upset.
Here are my keys to the game:
1. Home Cookin' - The Pistons have won four straight and covered the spread in 20 of their last 26 in front of the home-town crowd. They're excelling at both ends of the court at the Palace averaging 104.9 points on offense while allowing only 96.8 points which both are way better than their season average home/away combined.
2. Previous Meetings - The Pistons and the Spurs have split the last six meetings and Detroit is 6-2 ATS over the last eight in the series.
3. X-Factor - This is a prime example of a look ahead spot with the Spurs playing at Brooklyn last night and a game against the Cavs on deck Thursday.
