The Seattle Mariners have dropped five of their last six after getting swept in three games in the Bronx and losing two of three at Boston.

Here they'll face a much weaker opponent in the 23-52 Baltimore Orioles, and right-hander Felix Hernandez (6-6, 5.14 ERA) has started to heat up and allowed just one earned run in each of his last two starts.

Andrew Cashner (2-8, 4.72 ERA) will take the ball for the Orioles. The 31 year old righty threw four shutout innings and allowed just three hits with two strikeouts Wednesday in a no-decision against the Nationals, but note that he posted a 4.23 ERA in five starts against Seattle last season.

Mariners are 6-2 in their last 8 road games vs. a team with a home winning % of less than .400 and 21-6 in Hernandez's last 27 road starts vs. a team with a losing record. Orioles are 1-11 in their last 12 home games and 1-6 in Cashner's last 7 home starts.
