The Detroit Tigers claimed the first game of this three-game series with the Kansas City Royals 5-4 on Thursday. The two teams got Friday off, but I think the Royals will tie up the series here in Game 2 Saturday afternoon.
The Royals are 4-0 in their last four games vs. a left-handed starter and here the they will face Tigers' southpaw Matt Moore (0-0, 0.00 ERA) who is 0-2 with a 5.91 ERA in four career starts against the Royals and likely to have a letdown game after tossing seven scoreless frames against the Blue Jays in his season opener.
On the flip side, I expect Royals' right-hander Jorge Lopez (0-1, 7.20 ERA) to bounce back after getting knocked around in his first start of the season. All in all, good price to back the visitors.
