Utah could easily have a much better record. They lost to WSU by one, ASU by three and the Oregon score was very deceptive because stumbling, bumbling moron Kaelin Clay put himself ahead of the team and made a laughingstock 14-point game-changing blunder.

Along the way they won at Michigan, Stanford, UCLA, Colorado, and Oregon State. They had a little bit shorter trip by about 250 miles. That is not a huge edge, but a bit of one. After missing the bowls the last two years, the Utes will be plenty fired up. Head coach Kyle Whittingham is 7-1 in bowl games.

CSU overachieved all year, but ended the season with a thud losing to Air Force. Furthermore the rest hurts overachieving teams by taking them out of a groove. CSU just lost their head coach, Jim McElwain, to Florida. True that often is not the big setback many assume, but it is not what they needed when everything went right for them all season.
