The Mets are not about to blow this chance to pick up a few gift-wrapped wins this weekend in the Windy City. New York was all business last night in a 5-1 cruise that kept it within three games of the last NL playoff slot while sending the lowly Chisox to their eighth loss in a row. The Mets can kill two birds with one stone here, too, as they are also trying to help erase their 1962 expansion predecessors from the record books as the most losing team (120 losses) of the modern era. The Pale Hose, now on 105, are in position to replace those long-ago Mets, as the recent switch to Grady Sizemore as interim manager has apparently already experienced its "bump" (however minor) two weeks ago. Also note NY starter Jose Quintana is off of one of his best efforts of the summer when firing six innings of shutout ball at the Padres on Sunday. Play Mets on Run Line
