Texas A&M at Auburn
(NCAAF) Aggies (TXAM) vs. Tigers (AUB),
Money Line: -125.00 Aggies (TXAM) (Away)
Result: Loss
Now or never for the Aggies, at the moment apparently below the cut-line for 2-loss teams hoping to get into the 12-team playoff. That changes is A&M can win these next two vs. Auburn and Texas. First things first at Jordan-Hare, and Ags backers can't complain about this price. Though the Tigers might be a bit better than their 4-6 record suggests, with most losses having been close, and Hugh Freeze is usually good for at least one upset per year. Auburn, however, has mostly failed to deliver this season, with QB Payton Thorne (who was pulled for a spell earlier in the campaign) too apt to make game-changing mistakes. Meanwhile, Mike Elko has mostly pushed the right buttons this season, and the Ags were able to clear the cobwebs of the loss at South Carolina with last week's effective scrimmage vs. New Mexico State. Elko's switch to frosh QB Marcel Reed as opposed to the erratic Connor Weigman gives A&M its best chance to keep winning. Play Texas A&M on ML
