We have noted how the "total" has crept upwards and for good reason for this NFC South showdown. For the Bucs, it's mostly been an "over" season, landing that way six straight in front of the last two games. Blame 49ers mistakes and Giants ineptness for keeping those just beneath the cut line the past two weeks, but Baker Mayfield and the Bucs are still scoring points, hitting 30 or more seven times within the past eight weeks. Baker Mayfield also now has top target Mike Evans back in the fold after he missed three weeks. Meanwhile, surprisingly, Carolina is on a 7-2 "over" run as Bryce Young has looked much more comfy since being reinserted back into the lineup. The "over" trend actually began way back in late September with the previous QB switch to Andy Dalton, though Bryce has been able to move the offense enough, like a week ago when forcing OT and unfortunate to not level with the Chiefs in a 30-27 loss.
