The smoke of course comes from their great front line and back end pitching and the mirrors is from a line-up that has seen it's better days but have been able to produce enough to win. Starting with their No. 3 hitter the Yankees averages are .240, .212, .242, .210, .224, .189 and .225 and yet they are in first place. Tonight they send rotund C.C. Sabathia (0-5, 5.45 ERA) who is 12-14 lifetime against Tampa Bay while the Rays counter with Alex Colome (2-0, 1.80) who has no decisions against New York but have surrendered just one run in 11 career innings against the Bronx Bombers. Take TAMPA BAY!
