Marlins over Pirates- After a slow start the Marlins are swimming putting it together as they have won 10 of their last 13 averaging 7.1 runs in those wins. Pittsburgh has been struggling all season as their 'window' of playoff opportunity has narrowed in dramatic fashion. The Marlins will start Dan Straily (4-4, 3.59 ERA) who has had six straight quality outings allowing three runs or less with 69 strikeouts in 68 innings. The Pirates will start rookie Trevor Williams (3-3, 4.57) has made one appearance against Miami and was tagged with a loss on April 30 and he will have problems with the Marlins 'hot' line-up.
