Giants over A's- San Francisco has the worst record in the majors (40-67) while Oakland is in last place in the AL West so that the Bay area hasn't seen much quality baseball this summer. The A's may appear to have the advantage here with Sean Manaea (8-5, 3.82 ERA) on the hill who has lost just two of his last 13 starts. The Giants meanwhile will start Jeff Samardzija (5-11, 4.85) who posted eight strikeouts or more for the 11th time this season last time out.
