Cardinals over Cubs- Chicago has completed the first part of their goal of qualifying for the post season and now have a 'magic' number of two to win the NL Central. These two clubs have as fierce of rivalry as any teams in baseball and the Cubs have dominated what is usually a tightly contested series winning 11 of 15 meetings. Jon Lester (11-8, 4.56 ERA) will start for the Cubs and is 1-1 with a 3.28 ERA this season and is 4-4 lifetime. St. Louis will start Luke Weaver (7-1, 2.05) who has won his last seven decisions with a 1.61 ERA since his lone loss. Take ST. LOUIS!
