Chicago Cubs at St. Louis 8:15 ET
Cardinals over Cubs- These two rivals are moving past each other in opposite directions. Chicago who has a 'magic' number of one to win the NL Central have won six straight against St. Louis and 12 of 16 meetings this season along with 11 of their last 13 overall. Yet, I see that the Cardinals opened the favorite here as they send Carlos Martinez (12-11, 3.63 ERA) to the hill and he was smashed by the Cubs allowing seven runs in five innings just 10 days ago. Chicago will start Jake Arrieta (14-9, 3.43) who is 8-3 lifetime with a 2.06 ERA against the Cards including 1-1 this season. The 'number' just don't add up. Take ST. LOUIS!
