Seattle at Tampa Bay 4:10 ET
Rays over Mariners- Two clubs moving quickly in opposite directions as Seattle has moved into first place in the AL West one-game ahead of Houston while Tampa Bay has lost their last eight. The Rays were 2-games above the break-even point before their losing streak and today they send out their 'stopper' Blake Snell (7-3, 2.36 ERA) who threw six shutout innings against the Mariners last Sunday. The Mariners will start Felix Hernandez (6-4, 5.33) who is 9-2 with a 1.89 ERA in 17 career starts against the Rays and my questions is why would a team on an 8-game losing streak be such a strong favorite against a team that has won 16 of their last 20. The 'stats' that surround this meeting are one-sided but the Las Vegas odds are reversing the 'number.' I trust Vegas...take TAMPA BAY!
