Mets over Nationals- Here is the state of MLB on Opening Day in 2022. The Mets have what is to be considered the best No. 1 and No. 2 starters in all of baseball with Jacob Degrom and Mac Scherzer. So, who will be New York's Opening Day starter but none other than the renown Taylor Megill (4-6, 4.52 ERA). Under the new ownership of Steve Cohen the Mets have added depth and have a number of veterans including Robinson Cano among others to sure up their balance roster. Washington will send left-hander Patrick Corbin who has had back-to-back losing seasons with a combined 11-23 with an ERA 5.48. The Nationals are not expected to contend this season and the line shows little respect for the home team. Take NEW YORK METS!
