Red Sox over Phillies- The Phillies announced before the game yesterday that catcher J.T. Realmuto will miss approximately a month due to an upcoming surgery to remove cartilage in his right knee. The Phillies' 10-game advantage in the NL East is the largest lead in baseball. Philadelphia has won eight of its past 10 games. Boston right-hander Nick Pivetta (3-4, 3.40 ERA) has nine strikeouts in consecutive starts. It was Pivetta's second scoreless start and his fifth start with at least eight strikeouts this season. The Phillies will turn to left-hander Cristopher Sanchez (3-3, 2.71 ERA) on Wednesday as he looks to continue a streak of four starts of allowing two runs or less.
