Royals over Giants- The Kansas City Royals who have won six straight and have crept to within a game-and-a-half of the Tigers in the AL Central while winning 14 of their last 17 contests. The Giants meanwhile have lost four of five and 11 of 16 and after once having a nine-game lead in the West find themselves in a virtual tie for the second wild-card spot with St. Louis. Tim Lincecum (9-7, 4.22 ERA) is 0-2 with a 7.41 ERA in four starts since the All-Star game and will face Danny Duffy (6-10, 2.39) who is 1-5 with a 1.98 ERA in his last eight starts.
