Pirates over Phillies- The Pirates are putting it together at the most vital time as they have won their last five and now are in wild card playoff position. Pittsburgh will start Edinson Volquez (11-7, 3.31 ERA) who has not lost in his last eight starts and has posted a 1.38 ERA over his last six outings. The lowly Philadelphia Phillies will be starting rookie David Buchanan (6-7, 3.95) who has been effective for this one of the weaker teams in the NL. The Phillies are 0-3 in his last three starts as he's throwing to a 2.40 WHIP and that is just not good. Take PITTSBURGH!
