Denver hasn't had much success as a program since their move into the Summit League and it'll be interesting to see how the Pioneers fair this season given how many quality teams sit atop the Summit. Denver is looking to continue to push things at a faster clip and it's just been a tough change given how half court oriented this program had been in recent years.

. Colorado held Northern Colorado to just 32% shooting from the floor including just 6-37 three pointers. We look for veteran guard George King to have a nice year for Colorado and he led the way in the opener with 12 points and 9 rebounds in 19 minutes of action.

Colorado is going with a 4 guard starting lineup and for that to be a success over the course of the year the Buffaloes need to try and pick up the tempo a bit.
