Poor Kent State: they come into this game 0-11 and dismal on both sides of the ball. The Golden Flashes are second-worst in the FBS in scoring offense (14.5 ppg) and dead last in scoring defense (44.2 ppg) this season. They just made Akron look like a decent team as the Zips hung 38 last week in a three-touchdown victory. Now, they face a Buffalo squad that took massive leaps in year one of the Pete Lembo era. The Bulls average 27.8 points per game but they have put up at least 30 in five of the last six games, including averaging 43 points in the last three weeks. They should slice up the Kent State defense and pile up points. On the flip side, the Buffalo defense is still a work in progress so they could give up some points as well. This game winds up over the number as a result.
