New York Mets -165
(MLB) NY Mets vs. Cincinnati,
Money Line: -165.00 NY Mets (Away)
Result: Win
This is a matchup of two teams at different ends of the standings. While the Reds rallied to stun the Braves Sunday to avoid a sweep, they beat up on the Atlanta bullpen as the visitors wasted a stellar start from Charlie Morton. That win snapped a four-game skid during which they were outscored 36-12. The problem for the Reds is that the enigmatic Hunter Greene is on the mound for the Reds here. He has gone longer than five innings just once in his last seven starts and Cincinnati has lost each of his last four outings. Meanwhile, Taijuan Walker is 2-0 with a 1.80 ERA and a 0.95 WHIP over 20 innings in his last three starts. He is 3-0 in his last four outings with the lone exception being a no-decision in his last outing, which came against Houston when he threw 7.1 scoreless frames in a game the Mets lost 2-0 in the ninth. Cincinnati's bullpen won't do the team any favors as they have a 5.70 ERA: the poor pitching all around gives the Mets the upper hand in this contest.
