Oklahoma is coming into this game playing very well in their 3 games to start the season. They are 3-0 this year and their offense has been rolling in their games as they have scored over 65 points in 2 of their 3 games. They did have a tougher game at home against SMU which they only scored 28 points in, but that was the game their defense really shined in as they only allowed 11 points. Brent Venables is trying to erase the bad season they had last year and already they are a very different team this season. Dillon Gabriel has been excelling in this offense and is only going to get better as the season goes on. Venables is also a defensive mind though and he has this defense where it needs to be this season to compete for the Big 12 Title. Oklahoma is the real deal this season and they have one of the best teams in the country between their potent offense and much tighter defense. They are going up against a Cincinnati team that is coming off of a loss in their last game after playing very well in their first 2 games of the season. They were likely looking ahead to this 1st conference game last week but even in a look ahead spot they still lost at home to Miami Ohio who is not a very strong team. Their offense was awful in that game and they are only going to struggle more against this much better Oklahoma defense. Cincinnati has also had some issues on defense this season as they lost to Miami Ohio in their last game, allowing them to score 31 points against them in their own stadium, but even in their game prior to that when they were on the road against Pittsburgh they were allowing Pitt to come back in that game after getting out to a big lead. This will be the strongest offense Cincinnati has seen this season and Oklahoma is on a mission this year to not only win the Big 12 Conference but also restore their status as one of the top teams in the country. Oklahoma will cover the spread in this game.
