Ohio State is coming into this game with a 3-0 record as they are coming off of a big 63-10 win against Western Kentucky in their last game, but prior to that win they have not played well in their games. They struggled in their 1st game of the season as their offense could not score, only beating Indiana 23-3, and then they followed up with a 35-7 win at home against Youngstown State in a game where their offense struggled to score again. They were much better in their last game but WKU does not have a great defense so Ohio State was going to score points in that game. Now they are going on the road here and they are going up against a Notre Dame team that does have a very good defense and they are going to make this Ohio State offense struggle to move the ball. Notre Dame has already played in 4 games this season but they have played well in all 4 games. Their defense was suffocating in their first 2 games as they only allowed 3 points in each game against Navy and Tennessee State. They also had a big road test in their 45-24 win against NC State who has improved a lot and even in their last game which was at home against Central Michigan, they won 41-17 in a game where they were looking ahead to this one but still won by over 20 points. This offense is also very potent with Sam Hartman as they have scored over 40 points in every game they have played and they are going to score points in this game at home. Both of these teams have good defenses but Notre Dame will get the stops as Ohio State's offense still has not shown much this year and Notre Dame has a much bigger edge with their better offense at home as well. Notre Dame is going to cover the spread in this game.
