The Raiders are coming into this game at 1-1 this season and they are playing their home opener in this Sunday night game. They are coming off of a brutal loss against the Bills, losing that game 38-10, but they were also on the road in a tough place to play and against one of the better teams in the NFL who was embarrassed the week before in prime time. The Raiders defense is much better than what was seen last week and they are going to have a much easier time at home in this game against a weaker offense. They are going up against a Steelers team that is coming off of a nice 26-22 win in prime time against a divisional opponent, but that win was also on Monday night so they are on a bit of a short week and they are going to have a let down here after a tough win at home against the Browns. The Steelers may have scored 26 points in that game but their offense was not good as Kenny Pickett had a 50% completion percentage with 1 interception as well and they also got a lot of help from their defense in that game. The Steelers offense has not been great in their first 2 games this season and now they are playing their 1st road game of the year and Pickett has not done well offensively in road games. He has had 6 road starts in his career and the highest the offense has scored with him on the road is 24 points with 4 of those 6 road games seeing them score 16 points or less. The Raiders defense is going to bounce back in their home opener on Sunday night and they will cause Pickett to struggle once again in this offense. The Steelers also have a very good defense though and even Jimmy Garoppolo, with all of the games he has won in his career, has had many troubles scoring points in games as he is more of a game manager. This is going to be a low scoring and more defensive game that stays under the total.
