The Chargers are coming into this game off of a loss against the Cowboys on Monday night in a close game but they will be hungry to bounce back here against a division rival. The Chiefs are not only the Super Bowl defending champions but they are also the team the Chargers need to get through in this division so they will be up for this important game. They are going up against a Chiefs team that is 5-1 this season and even though they are the defending champions, the Chiefs are not as good as their record says they are this year. The Chiefs have a very good defense as they have held opponents to 20 points or less in their last 5 straight games but their offense has been struggling to score points with the lack of weapons. They only scored 19 points at home in their last game against an awful Broncos defense and they have scored just 23 points or less in 4 of their last 6 games as well which is not very good for this high powered Chiefs offense. The Chargers defense was much better in their last game coming out of their bye week as they still lost the game but only allowed 20 points against a good Cowboys offense. Justin Herbert also has a lot of weapons on his offense to work with and score some points to keep this a closer game. The Chargers have also had a lot of success against the Chiefs recently as their last 2 meetings have been within 3 points as well as 5 of their last 6 meetings seeing the Chargers either lose the game by 3 points or win straight up. They have also had more success playing in Kansas City recently as they have won 2 of their last 3 as well as 3 of their last 5 meetings in Kansas City. The Chargers are going to be hungry to bounce back in this division game after losing in prime time and this Chiefs team is not a top 5 team in the NFL right now with their offensive problems.
