Texas is coming into this game with a 6-1 record this season and they have been playing very well recently. They lost their 1st game of the season to Ohio State by 8 points in a neutral location, but they have won their last 6 straight games since then. They have been dominant in a lot of their recent wins, but they have also had a very weak schedule to start the season with no real quality opponents. They are coming off of a 20+ point win at home against Delaware State in their last game and that was their 1st game back from a tournament last week, but even playing in that tournament they did not see any quality opponents. They ended the tournament with a 9 point win over Saint Joseph's and opened the tournament with a 4 point win against Syracuse in a game they struggled a lot more in. Their only quality opponent this season was their loss to Ohio State, and this is going to be their 1st road game of the season as well. They are going up against an NC State team that is 5-2 this season and has not been great recently. They opened the season with 5 straight wins at home against weak opponents, but now they have lost their last 2 straight games. They opened their tournament last week with a 10 point loss against Purdue and followed up with an 11 point loss to BYU in their last game. They did not play well in that tournament, but this is also their 1st game back from it and they are going to be hungry to bounce back after 2 straight losses. They have also played much better at home this season with all 4 of their wins there coming by 9+ points. Texas has not been tested on the road yet this season and they have not played many quality opponents so NC State can take advantage of that at home as they are going to be hungry to bounce back from those 2 losses they have been sitting on.
