The Packers are coming into this game with a 9-3 record this season and they have been playing very well in their recent games. They have won their last 3 straight games with their last 2 wins coming by 10+ points, but both of those games were also at home. They beat up on a 49ers team that was missing a lot of key pieces, also having a disaster season, and now they are coming off of a win against a Dolphins team that has struggled to play in the cold. Their last 2 games have been at home and they are 4-1 on the road this season, but they have not played great in their last 2 road games. Their last road game was a 20-19 win against the Bears in a game they needed to block the Bears last second field goal to win, and their last road game prior to that was a 30-27 win against the 2-10 Jaguars. They have also struggled more against division opponents this season as their only division win came in that road game against the Bears, winning 20-19, while they lost their other 2 division games at home, losing 31-29 to the Vikings and 24-14 to the Lions. They are going up against a Lions team that is 11-1 this season and has been playing very well in their recent games. Their only loss this season came at home against the Buccaneers and they have won their last 10 straight games since then. They have been dominant in these games as well, winning 2 of their last 3 as well as 4 of their last 6 games by 10+ points. They are coming off of a 23-20 win against the Bears in their last game and that was a game they started to let go in the 2nd half, but they were dominant in the 1st half with a 16-0 lead and they started to get cute with their playcalling which came back to bite them. They will not be overlooking a 9-3 team like the Packers though. The Packers have been great at stopping the run in their last 2 games at home, but they got eaten on the ground in their last road game against the Bears and have allowed more rushing yards to teams in their last 3 road games as well. The Lions also dominated this Packers defense in their 1st meeting in Green Bay with both Gibbs and Montgomery rushing for 60+ yards each. The Packers are not going to stop this Lions run game and that is going to be a key piece in the Lions winning this game as Goff has also been very accurate with his throws this season so the Packers will not be able to defend this Lions offense. The Lions will cover the spread in this game.
