Money Line: 146.00 Browns (CLE) (Away)
Result: Loss
The Washington hype train has a few more supporters than it did a couple of weeks ago, but there's reason to believe it could be derailed by Cleveland on Sunday.

The Browns have played better than the box score suggests, and if they can clean up some of their costly penalties and miscues, they will be worth a gamble as moneyline underdogs. I'm wagering on that outcome, as Cleveland has talented players, but it's been missing the mark when it matters.

I expect the defense to come to play, confusing rookie Jayden Daniels and coming up with the turnovers it hasn't been able to force through the first few games. The Browns are one of the best teams at getting off the field on third down (7th in opponent conversion rate), and while they have struggled against the run, they have been tough to throw against. Washington had two high-scoring outputs against an injured Bengals defense and a bottom-five Cardinals defense, but Cleveland is in a different class, having held its last three opponents to 21 or fewer points.

Nearly everyone will be on the Commanders to cover, as Daniels has looked fantastic and the Browns' offense has underwhelmed. There was encouraging news about Cleveland's banged-up offensive line on Friday, as OL Jed Wills Jr., Jack Conklin and Ethan Pocic all practiced for the second straight day and TE David Njoku returned to practice. That is significant for Deshaun Watson, who should be able to knock off more rust on Sunday after playing in just six games in each of the last two seasons. With a challenging slate of upcoming games, I predict he'll show more resolve on the road against a weak Commanders defense, securing a much-needed win for the visitors.
