UNDER 43.5: WISCONSIN-RUTGERS
(NCAAF) Badgers (WIS) vs. Scarlet Knights (RUT),
Total: 43.50 | -108.00 Under
Result: Loss
The Badgers and Scarlet Knights historically prefer to run the football, and that hasn't changed in 2024.

Wisconsin is averaging 170 rushing yards per game (top 40 in rushing success rate) and gashed Purdue last week, but Rutgers won't be as easy to break as the Boilermakers. The home team's defensive front leaves something to be desired, but the Knights bend, but don't break, ranking in the top 10 in both defensive finishing and quality drives. RU allowed over 500 yards to Washington a couple of games ago but held the Huskies to 18 points. Rutgers ranks sixth in red zone defense and 46th in turnover margin.

Rutgers takes care of the ball and prefers to run it with stud RB Kyle Monangai (116 carries for 667 yards). QB Athan Kaliakmanis has been a solid game-manager (7:1 TD:INT ratio), as well. He doesn't complete a high percentage of his passes (55.6% CMP%) though, and isn't a threat to push the ball downfield. That simply isn't Rutgers game — it's an old-school, run-oriented offense (it runs the ball 61% of the time) that relies on its defense to muck it up. The Badgers are no slouch defensively, either. They rank 5th in PFF Tackling and 23rd in coverage. Their special teams' unit is solid, as well.
