Padres over Cardinals- St. Louis has managed to take advantage (46-19) of a heavy laden home schedule and have the best record in baseball as hosts but now must undertake the first of two 10-game road trips. San Diego has won seven of nine and will start the disappointing Andrew Cashner (4-12, 4.20 ERA) who is 0-2 with a 5.56 ERA since his last win on July 24. He has one start against the Cardinals where he allowed one-run and only three hits in six innings. Look for lightning to strike again. Take SAN DIEGO!
