The Timberwolves can't defend in the paint where the Grizzlies make their living. The Grizzlies average more than 47 points inside the paint. They scored 58 in the paint when they beat the Timberwolves, 105-101, in the team's first meeting back on Oct. 29.



Minnesota's offense is picking up with point guard Ricky Rubio playing in his third game since returning from an ankle injury and Kevin Martin coming off his best shooting performance since returning from a broken wrist five games ago.



The Timberwolves also get consistent scoring from Thaddeus Young, who is averaging 17.2 points and shooting 48.4 percent from the floor during his last 11 games, and Andrew Wiggins.



The Grizzlies may not have their full defensive intensity since this is the final game of a three-game road trip. They host the Hawks on Sunday in a much bigger game.
