(NCAAF) Ohio State vs. Clemson, 12/31/2016 2:00 PM, Score: 0 - 31
Point Spread: 2.50 | -115.00 Clemson (Home)
Result: Win
Clemson closed out the regular season strong with blowout wins coming against South Carolina and Wake Forest, but in the ACC title game the Tigers had a tough time putting away Va Tech in a 42-35 winning effort. Clemson didn't quite live up to their very high expectations during the regular season, but this group still put up respectable numbers ranking 9th in the nation in total defense and 13th in offensive production. QB Deshaun Watson has thrown for 3,914 yards and 37 TDs to 15 INTs, while also rushing for 529 yards and 6 TDs.

Ohio State played well out of conference, but the Buckeyes were mostly fading and struggling to come through with wins during the second half of Big Ten play, even against some of the more manageable steams in the conference.
This isn't a great matchup for Ohio State in my opinion. The one area in which the Buckeyes match up well is in the secondary. This game will come down to QB play and who can make plays consistently in the passing game. To me, that's Clemson's Deshaun Watson.
