This is a 10* TOTAL ASSASSIN on the OVER between the New York Yankees and the Detroit Tigers.
We had a play on the UNDER in in the opener of this series and the Tigers would hold on for a 4-0 victory. With what we feel to be a couple of confirmed "gas cans" facing off in Game 2, all signs do point to a "slugfest" on Saturday. The Yanks send veteran CC Sabathia to the mound, he'd finish 2015 at 6-10 with a 4.73 ERA and somehow managed to win the fifth spot in the rotation despite going a brutal 1-3 with a 5.51 ERA in five spring training starts spanning 16 1/3 innings. Keep your eyes on Detroit slugger Miguel Cabrera, who has hit .297 against Sabathia with three home runs and 14 RBI in 37 at bats. The Tigers are predominantly a right-handed hitting team, which is bad news for the beleagured Sabathia, who has allowed them to hit .312 over the last two seasons. The home side counters with Mike Pelfrey, who went 6-11 with a 4.26 ERA in 30 starts for Minnesota last year, but who had a decent spring training, going 2-2 with a 2.66 ERA. After getting shutout in this series opener though, I believe Pelfrey will have his hands full today with this focused and deep Yankees lineup. When taking all of the above into consideration, we're recommending a play on the OVER.
