This is a 10* NATIONAL LEAGUE TOTAL OF THE MONTH on the UNDER between the Atlanta Braves the LA Dodgers.
We think that runs will be at a premium tonight and look for this total to fall below the posted number once it's all said and done. The visitors hand the ball to ace Julio Teheran (1-5, 2.77 ERA) who comes in off perhaps his worst start of the year after giving up three runs off five hits and three walks over just 5.1 innings in a setback to the Marlins on Sunday. We don't think there's any need to hit the panic button if you're a Teheran fan though, previous to that he'd allowed one or no runs in each of his last six starts. But now we're finding out that Teheran was dealing with a blister on his right foot, which impacted his start. Teheran has been cleared to play and he'll be looking to improve upon his 2.20 road ERA. The home side counters with Kenta Maeda (4-3, 3.00) who will look to take advantage of the worst offense in the majors. In his last start he threw five shutout innings, scattering two hits in a victory over the Mets on Saturday. Maeda was originally scheduled to start vs. the Cubs yesterday, but clearly benefits in being able to throw in the comforts at home against Atlanta's anemic offense. We're expecting these competent starters to battle deep and for this total to indeed go UNDER the number at the end of the night.
