AAA's American League O/U "ASSASSIN!" (165-110 +$20,334 MLB Y-T-D!)
(MLB) Boston vs. Detroit,
Total: 8.50 | -101.00 Under
Result: Win
This is an 8* ASSASSIN on the OVER between the Boston Red Sox and the Detroit Tigers.

Setting the scene: The Tigers rallied late for a 4-3 win yesterday, stealing one away from the hungry Red Sox. Despite a couple of very consistent starters going head-to-head tonight, we're expecting this total to sneak above the posted number once it's all said and done.

Rick Porcello: He's 16-3 with a 3.30 ERA. His 16 wins are already a career best. Most recently he would allow one run off three hits while stirking out four over seven innings in a win over Arizona on Sunday. It's hard to point out anything negative about Porcello, he seems to be finally living up to his potential. However, if he's been consistently average in one area this year, it's been his play on the road where he's a pedestrian 4-3 with a 3.70 ERA. Also note that "focus" could be a major issue for Porcello as well, who comes to Boston for the first time since being traded in 2014.

Michael Fulmer: He's 10-3 with a 2.25 ERA. He's been a revelation for Tigers' fans, the rookie phenom continues to get better as the season has progressed. But now the training staff has suddenly given Fulmer a little more rest between starts, to track and limit his overall innings as we head into the stretch part of the season (so far, he has thrown 135.1 innings between Triple-A and MLB). So will this change in routine effect Fulmer's to date razor sharp chemistry?

The bottom line: It's hard to be perfect every night. These two pitchers have completely exceeded everyone's expectations to this point of the season, but we think there are enough situational factors working against these guys this evening to finally expect some regression. A great situational play on the OVER.
