Sometimes these stats can be overrated and other times they help foreshadow the outcome of a contest.
This particular play is based primarily on strong situational factors and ATS trends:
We think the high-powered 4-1 Aztecs come in a bit complacent here as they hit a "vanilla" part of their schedule, with cream puffs against Fresno State (1-5), San Jose State (also 1-5) and Utah State (2-4) over the next three weeks.
And note that Fresno State is 5-2 ATS in its last seven against teams with winning records.
The bottom line: We do indeed feel that San Diego State gets caught a little flat footed and the Bulldogs do just enough to cover with what we feel to be a generous spread afforded to them tonight. Play on FRESNO STATE.
