Money Line: 110.00 Nashville (Away)
Result: Win
Money Line: 110.00 Nashville (Away)
Result: Win
This is a 10* NON-CONFERENCE SIDE OF THE WEEK on the Nashville Predators.
We don't subscribe to any single handicapping methodology, but instead feel that being flexible with ones approach is the best way to secure profits over the longterm. Sometimes we keep it simple, while other times we'll take into account numerous different factors, like motivation, scheduling and significant injuries. Recognizing classic "spot bets" is something we always do as well, IE: the "look ahead" spot, the "let down" spot and the "trap" game. One set of criteria which we almost always use when making our decisions are Against The Spread (ATS) statistics. Sometimes these stats can be overrated and other times they help foreshadow the outcome of a contest.
This particular play is based primarily on strong/relevant ATS statistics and common sense:
As note that Nashville is 4-2 (+1.8 units) this year after scoring one goal or less in its previous game and 6-3 (+2.3 units) following a non-conference game, while Philadelphia is 11-15 (-4.6 units) in its last 16 after playing three consecutive road games.
The bottom line: Philadelphia just had its nine game win streak snapped in the final game of its five game road trip. This sets up nicely as a letdown spot for the Flyers in their first game back home. Nashville also plays with revenge today. Great spot bet, play on the PREDATORS.
