10* *MIAMI/UNC* HIGH NOON TOTAL BLOCKBUSTER (+$10,000 ALL CBB YTD!)
(NCAAB) Miami vs. North Carolina,
Total: 140.00 | -110.00 Under
Result: Loss
Total: 140.00 | -110.00 Under
Result: Loss
This is a 10* TOTAL BLOCKBUSTER on the OVER between Miami and North Carolina.
We don't subscribe to any single handicapping methodology, but instead feel that being flexible with ones approach is the best way to secure profits over the longterm. Sometimes we keep it simple, while other times we'll take into account numerous different factors, like motivation, scheduling and significant injuries. Recognizing classic "spot bets" is something we always do as well, IE: the "look ahead" spot, the "let down" spot and the "trap" game. One set of criteria which we always use when making our decisions are Against The Spread (ATS) statistics.
This particular play is based primarily on strong/relevant ATS statistics and common sense:
As note that Miami has seen the total go OVER the number in two of its last three after seeing the total go UNDER in three or more straight contests, while UNC has seen the total go OVER in three of its last four in trying to revenge a blowout loss of 15 points or more.
The bottom line: We had a play on Miami yesterday and we actually like its chances again today. That said, after the Tar Heels closed the regular season by posting 90 points against the Blue Devils, it's not too hard to imagine revenge minded UNC also running away with this one. So we'll stick to the total. We're expecting North Carolina to push the pace of this one from the outset though and to keep the foot on the gas from start to finish as it looks to take advantage of what has to be a winded Hurricanes team. Play the OVER.
