(NBA) Golden State vs. Minnesota,
Total: 216.00 | -100.00 Under
Result: Loss
Total: 216.00 | -100.00 Under
Result: Loss
This is a 10* TOTAL RED DRAGON on the OVER between the Golden State Warriors and the Minnesota Timberwolves.
We don't subscribe to any single handicapping methodology, but instead feel that being flexible with ones approach is the best way to secure profits over the longterm. Sometimes we keep it simple, while other times we'll take into account numerous different factors, like motivation, scheduling and significant injuries. Recognizing classic "spot bets" is something we always do as well, IE: the "look ahead" spot, the "let down" spot and the "trap" game. One set of criteria which we always use when making our decisions are Against The Spread (ATS) statistics.
This particular play is based primarily on strong/relevant O/U ATS statistics:
As note that Golden State has seen the total go OVER the number in two of its last three off a loss by ten points or more, while Minnesota has seen the total go OVER in nine of its last 15 overall and in three of four this year after playing to three consecutive UNDERS.
The bottom line: Clearly Golden State will be out to atone for its embarrassing 99-86 home setback to Boston on Wednesday. The Warriors will be pushing the pace from start to finish and the green light will be on to bombard from range early and often. Minnesota though comes in playing its best ball of the entire year, it just won for the fifth time in seven games with a 107-91 home victory over the Clippers. Minnesota is out to avenge as 116-108 home loss to Golden State back on December 11th as well. The trends and the situation both point to this one going OVER as it comes down the stretch.
