AAA's OPENING DAY TOP TOTAL SPECIAL (AMAZING +$17,000 MLB RUN CONTINUES!)
(MLB) San Francisco vs. Arizona,
Total: 8.00 | -110.00 Over
Result: Loss
This is an 8* TOP TOTAL on the UNDER between the San Francisco Giants and the Arizona Diamondbacks.

For the most part MLB handicapping comes down to the starting pitching. For this Opening Day selection, we're focusing mainly on the starters, but also on the overall situation.

Giants: San Francisco sends Madison Bumgarner to the mound, he posted a 2.81 ERA and 1.00 WHIP in sixteen spring frames this year. He was 15-9 with a 2.74 ERA last season and he has to be feeling pretty confident in this spot as the Giants were 9-1 at Chase Field in 2016. Bumgarner himself is 6-2 with a 2.80 ERA in 15 games at Arizona lifetime.

Diamondbacks: The home side counters with Zack Greinke, who posted a 5.06 ERA over 10.2 innings this spring. Greinke signed a big contract with Arizona last year, but he'd stumble out of the gate and while he'd go to recover decently after the All Star game, he'd never really gain his confidence after the slow start. Regardless of that though, Greinke was at his best whenever he faced San Francisco, posting a respectable 3.28 ERA in four starts against it last season. Greinke will clearly be eager to get out to a much better start in year 2.

The bottom line: We expect these veteran starters to battle into the latter frames and for this one to fall UNDER the number once it's all said and done.
