This is a 10* AL EAST TOTAL OF THE YEAR on the OVER between the Boston Red Sox and the Toronto Blue Jays.
The Jays and Red Sox get ready to battle North of the border on Tuesday night. So far it's been a miserable season for Toronto as it's just 2-10 overall. After a slower-start, Boston has turned things around of late, thanks in part to an offense which finished No. 1 last year. We're expecting the struggling Jays to finally get things turned around at the plate though in facing the visitors suspect starter tonight.
Brian Johnson: He's been called up from Triple-A Pawtucket to make this start, making only one previous start in the big leagues back in 2015 (0-1, 8.31 ERA).
Marcus Stroman: He's 1-1 with a 1.76 ERA this year and has been one of the few bright spots in this struggling team.
The bottom line: Slugger Josh Donaldson is out for the home side, but note that the Jays have seen the total go OVER the number in two of their last three when playing with a day off, while Boston has seen the total go OVER in four of six against the division. Look for Toronto to finally get some production in this favorable matchup. Play the OVER.
