Money Line: 100.00 Washington (Away)
Result: Win
This is an 8* play on the Washington Nationals.
Coors park is a tough place for all pitchers. With that being said, we still think that this matchup favors Tanner Roark and the Nationals:
Roark: He's 2-0 with a 3.65 ERA. Most recently he gave up three runs off seven hits and three walks while striking out five over 6.2 innings in an unfortunate no-decision against the Mets on Friday. It wasn't his best overall effort, but he still delivered his third straight quality start. Note that he was 7-4 with a 2.96 ERA on the road last year.
Tyler Chatwood: He's 2-2 with a 4.10 ERA. He's coming off a gem, throwing a two-hit shutout while striking out four in a victory over the Giants on Saturday. Chatwood has been all of the map as far as his game-to-game consistency is concerned and note that he was just 4-8 with a 6.12 ERA at home last year.
The bottom line: Note that Washignton is 9-2 (+7.2 units) this year in all "night" games, while Colorado is just 19-27 (-7.1 units) in its last 46 after allowing tens runs or more. Play on WASHINGTON.
